建筑上使用的铝板包括单层铝板、复合铝板等多种材料，一般常常指单层铝板（也有叫单铝板或纯铝板），多用于建筑装饰工程中，近年来在铝板幕墙中单层铝板使用的较为多见。铝板幕墙也是幕墙的一种形式，简单地说是用铝板代替玻璃制成幕墙，铝板幕墙多用于作墙体蔽护和不采光的墙壁。
